Raising and
training horses is not just a job at VNA, it is a
life long passion. Lee Van Nostern was introduced
to Arabians by Burr Betts. Lee has raised and shown
Arabians ever since. Having been brought up in the Arabian
industry, her daughter Pam has been training
full-time for the past 18 years.
The addition of the stallions, The Headliner
& AA Nocturne has dramatically improved the
quality of the show horses at VNA. One of
The Headliner's first foals, Harley
Davidson, which was bred, trained & shown by
VNA was US National Top Ten English Pleasure
Futurity. The thrill of this accomplishment was just a first of
many to come for VNA and the start of a top
quality breeding program.
VNA accepts a limited number of outside horses
for training. Our goal is not to have a million horses in
training, but to limit the numbers to 15-20 horses. This ensures
that each horse gets the time and attention necessary for a
thorough and complete job, with attention to every detail. High
percentage in winnings and quality rides are more important than
high number of horses.
